From Frozen Thoughts....

This is an extract from an article from Frozen Thoughts, which I thought would make an interesting read.
Dominating Peer!

This is the most dreaded peer relationship. This type of professional is either highly intelligent, but aggressive or portrays a false confidence so as to not get exposed. She/he feels the only way to leadership is to dominate others. While he/she never misses an opportunity to find fault with others, she/he can never take criticism from others. Because of this dominant nature, over a period, people may not respect him/her though the work done is good!

Internal Traits of a Dominating peer!
Feels “I know it all and I am above the rest’
Thinks attack is the best form of defence
   High caliber and efficient individually
Believes in creating fear to gain respect
Doesn’t empathize or respect others’ views
   Waits to magnify a problem
   Speaks more than listening

External Traits of a Dominating Peer!
Shows aggression
 Dominates weak peers
Though intelligent, not admired by others
People don’t wish to work together with them
 No respect from others
 Suggests without taking responsibility
Not willing to learn, think they can dictate

And........after reading it, what I feel is the best way to tackle these people is to just answer back with your "work". Let your work speak for you.....
